Highlight Films

Gemma & Philip

Gemma in her own words:

“We initially didn’t budget for a videographer for our wedding day, however after finding an offer online and having a little extra budget towards the end of planning we decided to go for it. Many people had recommended having one during our planning process and we are so glad that we eventually added this “extra” to our day – knowing what I do now, this would have definitely been an essential and not an extra at all! The video of our day is the best keepsake we have. With no disrespect to our photographer, we love our video even more than our photos – just think how important the photos are in the planning process, the video should be up there on the same level. A video captures so many things that you can’t get from your photographer alone. Seeing your first kiss as husband and wife, watching your guests laugh and cry again, and the real look of love in your eyes. Videography at a wedding is priceless and the best decision we made by far.”

Melanie & Chris

by

  Slepe Hall, St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

When I first met with Melanie, I could straight away see she was a fun bubbly woman that cared for her family very much, family is everything. Upon meeting Chris I found he was exactly the same, the love these two share for one another and their children its impalpable. I knew I needed to encompass their family spirit within the short highlight video and that was made all the easier by how much Melanie and Chris included the children in the day.

The day itself was warm and both the church and venue fitted perfectly into proceedings, we also ventured to the river in St Ives to get a few shots on a bridge, this was a nice moment for Melanie & Chris to spend a few moments together on their own before heading back to Slepe Hall for the wedding breakfast.

Slepe Hall is a great little venue for a wedding after having a refurbishment a couple of years ago, it is the perfect size for a small to medium sized wedding, it is compact but efficient in the way it is set out.

This wedding truly made me think about my won family after seeing the joy in theirs, it’s not about the things you have but the people you have in your life.
